Breaking the stigma of a rice based snack is no easy task. Traditional rice snacks lack in taste and are considered to be dull and mundane. RiceWorks brand needed to change consumer perception by enticing them to try their exciting and flavorful rice chips.
Focus group and market research pointed to a more trendy, "artisan" look and feel for the brand to try to attract a more sophisticated audience searching for healthy choices without sacrificing taste.
The resulting package was a significant departure from the previous look and feel and helped reposition RiceWorks as a premium quality snack alternative.
